Hi! I’m Brittany. I’m the one behind the camera. Welcome to my humble virtual abode.
A little about me, since you asked.
I love coffee. But not Starbucks—I’m a Folgers gal. Home brewed. Lots of creamer with a splash of coffee. A big cup, that way I pour a ton down the sink when I can’t remember where I set the mug down until I find it the next day.
A cat is my spirit animal, but my husband argues a lizard is more accurate, since you’ll find me snuggled under a heating blanket (which he calls my heat rock) when at home in my element. I’m under the heating blanket 24/7, even right now.
I homeschool my middle schooler and first grader in my free time (HA! Free time. That’s a good one).
I’m a nerd. Big time. I’m a fiction and fantasy reader, lady MOBA and COD gamer, and board game fanatic. I’ll never turn down a game of Settlers of Catan.
I’m an introvert but thrive on community. I know. It makes no sense.
I’m happily married to my best friend, and we just celebrated 16 years of marriage.
I eat pineapple on my pizza…. You don’t have to say it... Shame.
My favorite store is the thrift store. I get the most excitement when I save money while spending money. 95% of my closet was free or thrifted. And I love to tell people when they complement my outfit that it was FREE!
I’m a plant murderer. Despite the fails, I still try and have been for years. My plant-body count is in the hundreds. But I did manage to keep Basil alive—once.

I’m going to let you in on a secret. All the emotions you see in my images—they are real. There are no fake smiles to be found here. How do I do it? I’m funny of course! Ok, not really, but each of my families are. I have a special way of making things just awkward enough for you to laugh (at yourself acting a fool while hopping like bunnies and snorting like pigs). If I had a dollar for every time a dad told me, “Whoa, that wasn’t at all what I was expecting, that was actually a lot of fun!” I’d be rich. Ok, maybe not rich, but I could definitely buy something nice. And dad definitely won’t complain next time you tell him it’s time to do more family photos. Win-win.

How It Works:

Booking starts with a phone call to discuss what you’re looking for and to answer any questions you may have prior to securing your session. We go over what you want to use your images for, what you want them to look like, and what to expect. Then, once you decide when you want to have your session, a custom session link is sent to you to reserve your session date.

Once you’re booked, we chat regularly for outfit planning and location planning. A week prior, I go scouting the locations you are interested in for real, up-to-date location images so that you know exactly how it will look.

On your session day, all plans have been finalized so that your day is stress-free. I bring a blanket and activities for your family to do during the session and all you have to do is come ready for adventure. The session itself feels like a fun family date.

You receive a link to a private, password protected proofing gallery of lightly edited images within a few days of your session to pick the images you want to keep. We discuss via text or call the images you choose and what editing you request for them.
Sneak peeks are optional if you choose and are delivered on social media for you to see examples of your images fully edited prior to selecting and can be shared with your friends/family before you receive your final images.

Once you have selected your images and decided what editing you want done, I verify editing choices with you in real-time as I’m working on your selections so that you take part in the images you receive.
Editing includes color correction, blemish removal, hair smoothing, clothing smoothing, removal of objects, background enhancement, and can include face-swapping and body enhancement/slimming.
Final delivery of images is via website download directly to your computer, phone, or tablet at home. Physical copies of images may be ordered at an additional fee.

My families typically spend roughly $400 and keep their packages near baseline. I help families stay in budget by assisting to eliminate near-identical choices so that albums are diverse and different. We discuss your budget and image delivery desires as the need arises so that I can help you stay within budget but walk away with the perfect number of images.

The secret is in the sauce. I am an expert at taking you outside your comfort zone and making things just awkward and adventurous enough that you are truly enjoying the moment- you can’t look stiff when you’re having fun.

As soon as possible. I recommend a few months in advance to ensure you’re able to put together the perfect outfit combinations and schedule your self-care in advance. Rushing into a session can cause added stress and anxiety, so I always recommend scheduling it out to give yourself enough time to fully prepare.

During the planning phase, I am here to walk you through the process. We discuss the look you want to achieve and outfits all in advance to make sure your photos fit the vibe check. I also have specific guidance depending on the session type to prepare your family for photos.

Proofing galleries typically are sent within a few days of the session date. Final delivery is within a week of your selection. Additional time may be required during the Fall, but we discuss the expected timeline at the time of booking. Expedited editing can also be requested.

These files are larger sized downloads for printing 8×10 or larger images. I sell these al la carte. You can print directly through my printing lab or you can buy the digital download to print them at your lab of choice.
This size image does not upload to social media well, as social media condenses these files into smaller bits and can make images appear distorted and blurry. These files are only needed for large printing.

You can! Every photo lab has it’s own color scheme that it uses, so I cannot guarantee print quality on your own lab of choice. However, I do guarantee print quality through my lab.
If you intend to print, please let me know and I’ll tell you which labs to steer clear of and which labs print well on a budget.
Each session is different, but each have certain qualities that remain the same. Here I break down what to expect by session type.
Families & Couples on Location
Family sessions on location start with a few posed portraits to ensure we get that perfect holiday card photo. Then we quickly transition to the magical and fun experience all of my families have come to expect from me. You know the ones I mean: the images with movement, the emotional connections I showcase. Every family is unique and dynamic, and we explore your personalities both individually and as a family to capture your family as you truly are. The beauty is in the details. Proofing galleries typically average around 75 images for you to select your favorites. However, I can’t promise you won’t fall in love every one of them.
Couples’ images follow the same format. We rely heavily on prompting and movement, but there are also some standard couples poses we incorporate as well for a wide variety of images. My couples walk away feeling invigorated and happier than before the session started. It’s like a third date (you know, the fun one) all over again. Proofing galleries typically average around 50 images for you to select your favorites.
Maternity
Because the goal of a maternity session is different, maternity sessions contain more posed images than a family session. With maternity, expect some posing but we do still incorporate movement and emotions through prompts in the photos we capture. I will guide you through optimal body positioning to deliver the best angles for maternity portraits. Proofing galleries typically average around 50 images for you to select your favorites.
In-Home Lifestyle
In-home sessions are typically longer and more relaxed than outdoor images. Not only are we showcasing your family’s personality, but also your space. We take time to both play and relax together for a story-telling session that is all you. From baking cookies to pillow fights, blanket forts to couch snuggles, we do it all. In home sessions are also wonderful options for maternity and headshots for a more personal peek into who you are.
Headshots & Solo
Solo sessions can feel intimidating at first for those who aren’t used to the spotlight, however they are also a lot of fun and you’ll quickly realize you actually enjoy it. I take time to get to know you before our session so that I’m able to prompt you into genuine smiles, laughter, and connection. We swap stories, tell ridiculous jokes, talk business and embarrassing moments. It doesn’t feel like you’re standing in front of a camera, but a new friend. I deliver both serious and genuine smiles in your images. Due to the more intimate nature of this session, proofing galleries average around 30 images for you to select from.
